Keep your account secure: What you can do now to help fight fraud

  1. Use our mobile app
    • Our mobile app is the best way for you to stay on top of any suspicious account activity
  2. Check your contact information
    • You’re not the only one protecting your account. If we spot an issue, we want to get in touch with you the quickest way possible.
    • Provide your mobile number so we can alert you to potential fraud
  3. Create a strong unique password
    • Strong passwords are 8 or more characters long and include a combination of numbers, symbols and upper- and lowercase letters
    • Use multifactor authentication when possible
  4. Protect your devices
    • Keep your phone, tablet and computer up to date with the latest browser, operating system and antivirus software
  5. Keep your account information secure
    • Go paperless
    • Never write your PIN on the back of your card
    • Use trusted online payment methods, such as Bill Pay or Zelle ® instead of writing checks
  6. Know the red flags that signal a scam
    • Scammers pressure people to send money, threaten law enforcement action or demand gift cards as a form of payment
    • Visit the Security Center for more scam tips – Remember, if you provide your information or send money to a scammer, there is often little we can do to help get your money back
